Installation on WordPress Sites

Before choosing one of the two available installation types for the WordPress environment, you will need to have your token. (The token will be provided by a consultant from the Hand Talk team via email).

Installing the Hand Talk plugin via the WordPress admin panel

Step 1 - Access the Plugins section of the admin panel, click on the Keyword field, and search for Hand Talk. The Hand Talk plugin will be listed as shown in the image below. Click Install Now.

Step 2 - After the installation process finishes, click Activate Plugin; the page will reload to the list of installed plugins.

Step 3 - In the Plugins section, go to the Installed Plugins subsection and click Settings to access the Hand Talk plugin settings.

Step 4 - Enter the token you copied into the properties field in the Hand Talk plugin settings.

Installing the plugin via the handtalk.zip file

Step 1 - Download the .ZIP file of the plugin for WordPress.

Step 2 - Access the WordPress admin panel, click on Plugins, select Add New, then click Upload Plugin and choose the Browse option.

Step 3 - In the window that opens, locate the directory where the handtalk.zip file is stored and confirm the selection. Then click Install Now.

Step 4 - After the installation process finishes, click Activate Plugin; the page will reload to the list of installed plugins.

Step 5 - In the Plugins section, go to the Installed Plugins subsection and click Settings to access the Hand Talk plugin settings.

Step 6 - Enter the token you copied into the properties field in the Hand Talk plugin settings.
